Recognized under the ecclesial status of SAINT, Saint Simon the Zealot is commemorated in the Roman Martyrology for heroic fidelity to Almighty God. While contemporary historical documentation from his era is limited, the Catholic Church honors his memory as an exemplar of faith and holiness within the communion of saints.

II. Historical Context & Patristic Tradition (1st Century BC / AD — 1st Century AD)

Living during the 1st century, Saint Simon the Zealot carried out his holy witness during a time when Christian communities faced localized persecution or early structural development.
