Biography & Hagiography
Saint Raphael the Archangel is one of the seven holy archangels who stand before the throne of God. His name in Hebrew signifies "God heals," revealing his divine mission of healing, guidance, and deliverance.
In the Old Testament Book of Tobit, Saint Raphael assumed human form under the name Azarias to guide young Tobias safely on his journey to Media, protect him from evil spirits, facilitate his holy marriage to Sarah, and heal the blindness of Tobit.
Saint Raphael is invoked by the faithful as the Patron of Travelers, Pilgrims, Healers, Physicians, and those seeking a holy spouse.
