While contemporary historical documentation from his era is limited, the Catholic Church honors his memory as an exemplar of faith and holiness within the communion of saints.

II. Historical Context & Patristic Tradition (1st Century BC / AD — 1st Century AD)

Living during the 1st century, Saint Mary Magdalene carried out his holy witness during a time when Christian communities faced localized persecution or early structural development.
